I booked this for my spouse and I so we could see the whole island, but it was so much more than that. We learned some history and about the culture. The best part for me was stopping at all the local spots and supporting their businesses. Loved every second of the trip it was such an enjoyable tour around the island. I loved how prideful Aka is of his culture and traditions , he has so much knowledge. Had the best time! This is the best tour I have gone on in Hawaii. Our tour guide & driver Mike was professional, fun, informative, and efficient. This was the most convenient, safe, and efficient option for someone like me. There is no way I could have reached all these destinations on my own. I get lost driving around my hometown. The tour experience was satisfactory, albeit with a few areas for improvement. Firstly, the weather conditions were unfavorable, with rainfall occurring at the beginning of the tour. Additionally, the designated pickup location in front of the Ilikai Hotel was not the actual pickup spot as they tell you it is, resulting in passengers waiting in the rain without shelter. I really enjoyed this experience. ..could've been better but at not fault of the vip tour company...we saw more than 5 turtles, beautiful schools of fish....only con: super crowded with every boating tour company chosing the same spot and no real freedom to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our snorkeling trip out to Turtle Canyon with Krash and Glen. We were originally booked on one tour, but they immediately got in touch with us to reschedule a time that worked for us. Very glad we took this boat trip. Boat crew was very friendly and helpful in showing us where to look and see the turtles under water. Boat was clean, plenty of drinks and snacks. Our driver Mario was excellent. Super fun :-) This is a great way to see the hot spots of the island in just one day. The snorkeling was a little disappointing because the water was very murky (they had gotten a lot of rain recently) and you couldn't see anything underwater, but that wasn't their fault. I enjoyed the many stops and views done during the tour. I was comfortable with the group size and seating. There where plenty of snacks and water. We really loved hearing Melo's stories about the island's history and culture, but were less than excited by the multiple tourist and retail oriented stops at the fruit stand, coffee plantation, pineapple plantation, and donut shop. The shrimp truck and the swim/ snorkel stop were valuable, but the others were only a "taste" of the place and not an experience. Took the grand island w/ snorkeling tour with Milo. For the price I paid with Groupon + $30 booking fee, this tour is pretty great in value. Milo points out everything on the way and tries to get us energized since there are so many stops. It’s a nice way to learn about Hawaii, although you might get ocean view fatigue. The snorkeling part was disappointing, we didn’t know how to use the equipment and there weren’t directions (it wasn’t possible to snorkel anyway-large waves). But instructions would have been nice. This tour was the best tour you could ever take!! We had a fun-filled day of touring, pictures, eating, swimming, and experiencing the beautiful places of the island of Oahu. Uncle Milo was our guide and made sure that everyone was safe and had fun. He is very knowledgeable about everything that has to do with the islands of Hawai'i. My family and I had so much fun that we were sad that our tour day was over.
